It’s been one year since starting the BEAUTYtalk! I’ve been consistently writing here weekly; I now have 54  published articles about all things beauty! I thought now would be an excellent idea to introduce myself to you all, 

So here we go…

My name is Leticia and I’m writing all the articles here. I have been a makeup artist for over seven years now, currently, I live in Hong Kong. I grew up in an Australian Coastal town one hour north of Sydney, Australia. From the age of 20, I have been living overseas moving around like a nomad for around seven years, mainly in New York City, Europe, Hong Kong and Sydney. I met my now-husband in Sydney, he’s a fashion photographer and I kind of just joined in on his nomadic lifestyle. First, I was modelling and then I transitioned into doing makeup. 

You may think, how did you end up in a place like Hong Kong? Well, we always came here 3-4 months a year, we seemed to get most clients here in Hong Kong. Then in 2018 we went for a contract, then with the pandemic, we are kind of stuck here, so no nomad lifestyle for the time being.

But I like my lifestyle here in Hong Kong. It’s been nice to stay in one place a bit, make more of a business and friendships. Who knows what’s next? Eventually, I think we’ll end up back in Sydney. 

I’m currently 29, I have been vegetarian for around five years, which has its troubles in a place like Hong Kong, but I seem to manage and cook a bit at home myself, which I enjoy.

I take my coffee, extra-hot cappuccino with oat milk. 

I always go for the chocolate option of anything! 

I have a healthy appreciation for the ocean and sharks; I stay over here; you guys stay over there. 

My hair is naturally like this very wild frizzy curl, so I usually just go with the flow in that department. 

I have two parents and two younger brothers, and a little spoodle (cockapoo) named Amber back home. She’s a sweetie, I love seeing her when I call in on video chat.

I have done makeup on clients in moving cars, outside public bathrooms, park benches sometimes, you never know where you will end up with this job. It very interesting and always changing.
